PRESENTER: Aaron Mango, Assistant U.S. Attorney
Assistant U.S. Attorney Aaron J. Mango for the US Department of Justice and a lead prosecutors in the Tonawanda Coke case will speak about the Historic Verdict against the company and Manager that were Found Guilty of Violating the Clean Air Act and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act. The case was only the second ever criminal conviction under Title V of the Clean Air Act and resulted in one of the largest fines ever levied in an air pollution case involving a federal criminal trial. Mr Mango will also provide an appeal update on the case.
Aaron J. Mango has been an Assistant United States Attorney in the Western District of New York since November 2007. Aaron is the environmental crimes point of contact within his district. Prior to this, Aaron was an Assistant District Attorney for two years at the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office in Massachusetts.
